The River Church hosted a free public event on Sunday, April 9, 2023, outside The Salem Capital. The event focused on community building, with games, raffles, and even food. Easter is a Christian holiday commemorating the resurrection of Jesus from the dead. There was no charge to attend this event.

The event was attended by a large number of people. Many of the attendees were primarily families and children. The event was a success, and The River Church plans to host similar events like this one in the near future.

The mascot Easter rabbit was a hit among the children. He (she*) was a large, white rabbit with floppy ears and a red bow tie; He was also dressed in blue overalls. The children loved the rabbit and took lots of photos with him. The mascot was a popular attraction at the event and a great addition.

Pastor Lew of The River Church said his goal for Sunday's event was to show the community that he loves them, regardless of the hate that is often directed at him or his church community.

The games and activities were a hit with the attendees. The axe throwing was very popular, with people taking turns trying to hit the target. The baseball game was also a popular attraction, with people playing batting practice.

Archery was a popular activity, while the various racing games were a hit with the children as well. Other fun activities including face painting were included in the fun.

The church raffle gave away a variety of prizes, including money, coffee bucks, a mini bike, Xbox's, and Switches. The mini bike was the most popular prize among the children, but the other items were also well-received.

The raffle was a success, and made the community happy, just as planned. The group is grateful for the support of their community, and they are excited to give them more joy in their lives.

The event was a positive step for the community, and it is hoped that it will help to heal some of the divisions that have been created in recent years. The church is grateful for the support of the community and looks forward to continuing to build relationships with its neighbors.
