Salem Intersection Crash: Minivan Runs Red Light, Hits Turning Volkswagen (Injuries Reported)

SALEM, Ore. — A minivan disregarded a red light and collided with a Volkswagen turning onto a side street Saturday night, Salem police said.

The crash happened around 8:13 p.m. at the intersection of State Street and Airport Road. The minivan, traveling on State Street, struck the Volkswagen’s rear passenger door before crashing into a tree.

Minor injuries were reported, and police said a few people were transported to the hospital for treatment.
