Crash in Salem Results in Rescue

Salem, Ore. -- October 30, 2023. A traffic collision Sunday at the intersection of Court and High Streets started as a normal situation and turned into a rescue with three people trapped inside a vehicle.

Fire and police departments responded to the scene. The fire department freed the trapped people and Engine 1 cleared everyone on the scene. Medic 16 remained on scene and transported the three people to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police investigated the scene and determined that an elderly man was at fault for the collision.
